When you add an email account to MS Outlook 365 accounts, IMAP accounts, Exchange accounts, and Outlook.com, then they store their information in Offline Outlook Data Files (OST files). OST file allows users to work in offline mode, users can access their email, contacts, journals, etc. that have been downloaded recently. When the internet connection is restored, changes are automatically synchronized. However, sometimes you may notice a few common issues or errors while synchronization due to internal issues or server downtime.
OST File Internal Error Code 0000000E is a very common issue. This error emerges due to OST synchronization interruptions. As a result OST file becomes inaccessible. Users also might experience several other errors which lead to OST file corruption.
All these issues or errors may occur if your OST file is corrupted or if there exist any synchronization issues. Which can be fixed by utilizing the OST Integrity Check (ScanOST.exe) utility. This is a free utility which helps user to manage the OST synchronization and minor corruption issues.
Note: This utility is not available for Outlook 2010 and later versions.
OST Integrity Check (ScanOST.exe) utility handles only minor synchronization errors. If the OST file is corrupted badly, then this tool fails to repair that file. Also, if the Exchange Server is down or disconnected then Scanost.exe can’t be used.
Note: Please keep a backup of the original file before running ScanOST.exe
If this utility fails to repair your file, then go for a trendy and reliable solution. You can also use OST to PST converter tool. This tool can be used to resolve the OST File Internal Error 0000000E and convert OST to PST.
